COUNCIL OF JEWISH EMIGRE COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, INC. (COJECO)
COJECO is the central hub of the Russian-speaking Jewish community of New York that facilitates successful dialogue of Russian-speaking Jews and the greater American Jewish community, while preserving our unique cultural heritage. COJECO supports its Network of Russian-speaking Jewish grassroots initiatives by providing grants and logistical support. Additionally, it offers programs that are designed for Russian-speaking Jews to engage with the community on their own terms, encouraging identity exploration, providing informal Jewish education, leadership training, and volunteering. Through support of grassroots initiatives and direct programs, COJECO serves as a bridge between the Russian-speaking Jewish community and the American Jewish community.
