Established in 1997 to promote racial and ethnic inclusion & equity in Charlotte-Mecklenburg, CBI now focuses on all aspects of difference in our community. Community Building Initiative (CBI) is a non-profit organization established in 1997 by government and civic leaders that works to achieve racial and ethnic inclusion and equity in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.
