WE SEEK TO BE THE FIRST STEP IN ASSISTING THEM TO CREATE A NEW LIFE FOR THEMSELVES. IT IS A COMMON MISCONCEPTION THAT THE MAJORITY OF HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS ARE HOMELESS BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY DO NOT WANT TO WORK. TO THE CONTRARY, RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THIS IS TRUE OF ONLY A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE HOMELESS. MOST HAVE FALLEN ON HARD TIMES DUE TO JOB LOSS, NOT ENOUGH INCOME, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, AND MEDICAL PROBLEMS/BILLS CIRCUMSTANCES THAT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE. GOD'S HAVEN ASSISTS HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS IN TRANSISTION FROM HOMELESS TO A NEW INDEPENDENT LIFE.
