GUATEMALAN STUDENT SUPPORT GROUP
Our mission is to partner with disadvantaged Guatemalan communities to provide greater educational opportunities for their children. GSSG partners with other like-minded organizations to support improved educational infrastructure for elementary and middle schools in Guatemala. GSSG also awards scholarships to disadvantaged students with leadership and academic potential to attend Guatemalan high schools and universities. Opportunities for short periods of study in the USA will be provided if organizational resources permit. While in the program, all students will sign contracts covering the conditions of their scholarships and the expectations for community service focused on improving the educational opportunities for their fellow Guatemalans.
