Sharing this from The Grace School: Meeting Street's own Debbie Scott shared memories of her father, Civil Rights Activist and Rhode Island NAACP past president Cliff Montiero, with @thegraceschoolri students. Ms. Scott's legacy of activism can be traced back to her great-grandfather, Dr. Julius Robinson, who began his mission for equality in 1913. Ms. Scott shared that she grew up being immersed in the activities of Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis. She stressed to the students that the work started during the Civil Rights Movement is not finished, that as a country, we still have more to do. Thank you for sharing your story with us💙 (fb)
