They might not have the words to express their struggles, but they feel the pressure, confusion, and pain. Sometimes it looks like extreme picky eating, fear around food, body anxiety, or rituals that are hard to explain. It’s not just a phase—and it’s not something they can simply “grow out of.” 🧠 Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions. They are not choices, and they’re not caused by vanity. They’re influenced by a complex mix of genetics, environment, trauma, and culture—including the messages children absorb every day about bodies and worth. 💜 Early recognition and gentle, evidence-based care can change the course of a child’s life. Support matters. Compassion matters. Listening matters.
