Our first service took place in October 1996. Founded by Reverend Janet Nohavec, our goal is to provide our country with strong Spiritualist Centers, where people of all faiths and backgrounds can assemble to grow spiritually. The Journey Within was granted affiliation with the Spiritualists’ National Union, a group of approximately 350 churches in England. This affiliation continues today. The Journey Within properties now include Journey Within North, Journey Within NJ and the Historic Hydesville Schoolhouse in the area where modern day Spiritualism all began. This site is designated as the future home of a Spiritualist Healing Temple.
