Under the leadership of Artistic Director David Hodgkins, Coro Allegro is known for critically acclaimed programming, performances, and recordings of works by diverse classical and contemporary composers. Through our performances, collaborations, and partnerships, Coro Allegro builds bridges between disparate communities through extraordinary music. A winner of the Chorus America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming and the Choral Arts NE Board Grant for Diversity Equity, and Inclusion, Coro is dedicated to providing access to choral music to broad audiences, to introducing audiences to works by under represented composers, and to serving as a model LGBTQ+ organization through artistic excellence and visibility.

MAILING LIST Coro Allegro Musically Distinctive Queercentered Socially Conscious Coro Allegros 20242025 season includes works of great beauty grace and energy. Many of the compositions reflect upon issues facing us as a society such as immigration war and the search for belonging. While the season includes composers such as Mozart Bruckner and Kodaly much of the season celebrates compositions from the late 20th and 21st century. Four of the works this year either had or will have their first performance by Coro Allegro celebrating Coro Allegros work supporting contemporary composers such as Kareem Roustom Greg Bullen Kenneth Fuchs and Bosba and enhancing the Choral repertoire.
