Autism is typically diagnosed during the toddler years and while many children eventually exhibit some level of social interaction, some are non-verbal or shunned by peers as they grow up. Please help spread awareness to better assist those who live with autism. 🧩 For more content or to stay current on monhtly activities follow our EFR Facebook page! 🔗 https://www.facebook.com/ContactEFR/ (fb)

SUNY Oswego and ARISE Ramp Program Join Efforts On Thursday, March 20th, Students from the SUNY Oswego College took part in what they call, their Staycation Program. The program helps community-based organizations, by performing community outreach. One of those organizations was, ARISE and the Ramp Program. They volunteered to help the ARISE Ramp Program by building a ramp platform and three ramp sections, instead of taking Spring Break. Their group leader, Jennifer Joyce, and two students, Emma Hyde, and Myneisha Kimbrough worked together to cut the needed pieces. They took turns using a chop-saw and cutting the pieces. Then loaded them on to one of our “Buggy Boards” and transported them to the assembly area in the basement of the First United Methodist Church of Oswego. There they assembled the modular sections and then moved them outside and stacked them. They had a great time learning about the program and building the pieces. On behalf of the ARISE Ramp Program and myself, I would like to thank them for their hard work and determination at the section build. In doing their part, they have helped us help others in our community! If you would like to get involved with the ramp program, please contact: Scott Pecoy, the ARISE Ramp Coordinator, 315-602-4938 or Email at: specoy@ariseinc.org (fb)
