Emmett Louis Till, a 14-year-old African American, was lynched in Mississippi in 1955 after being accused of offending a white woman in her family’s grocery store. Today would have been his 84th birthday. Let us honor him and all the lives lost to anti-Black hate, white supremacy, and police brutality.
