Advocating for meat- & dairy-free eating since 1991. Home of Veggie Pride Parade NYC & 101 Reasons Why I'm a Vegetarian, the pamphlet. The driving mission of the VivaVegie Society is the promotion of the vegetarian lifestyle. It achieves this by dispelling myths that are commonly held in society and by engendering respect for those who hold the tenants of the lifestyle dear. In years past, the VivaVegie Society published and iconic pamphlet, 101 Reasons Why I'm a Vegetarian. It published a magazine, and was the sponsor of the Veggie Pride Parade, held in New York City. Due to various circumstances, the organization went into semi dormancy. Today (2023), the group sponsors and extensive, ever-growing, and robust Web site . In the near future, the group will go beyond being just a legacy Web site and begin again sponsoring events and publishing projects. Stay turned! www.vivavegie.org
