Orlando Science High School will be closed on Monday, May 26th in recognition of Memorial Day. School will resume on Tuesday, May 27th and the final day of the 2024-2025 school year for students is Wednesday, May 28th. We're excited to share that OSHS 9th grader, Abigail M., was accepted into the prestigious MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute’s Unmanned Air System – Synthetic Aperture Radar (UAS-SAR) program. She recently published a research paper on CubeSats (small, low-cost satellites used for space research) and their use in disaster relief. https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10971566 Abigail also serves as a Payload Owner for Accenture’s upcoming satellite launch, where she helps design code and radio communications.
