Learning. The mission of the Ebony Horsewomen is to empower youth, families, veterans and adults toward lives through Equine Assisted Therapy and Psychotherapy and Equine Facilitated Activities. We serve our community as well as maintain a concentrated focus on youth, their mental health and academic success. We stimulate the development of academic achievement, social skills and emotional well-being, good health and nutrition practices, as well as leadership and employability skills for urban youth; the, most of whom struggle in difficult family and financial circumstances, without resources and, often, without personal aspirations. Our purpose is to transform youth – to help them heal and realize and take responsibility for their own actions, and for the consequences of those actions.
