@sitstayread was happy to facilitate the installation of a new @librarianstnt @littlefreelibrary at one of our school partners in Chicago today. This is one of ten special edition book boxes installed this week. Shout out to Wayne for the heavy lifting!! We are happy to help steward this neighborhood asset and promote #literacy4all . We are so proud of our K-2nd grade students who will be progressing one grade up in a few weeks. Hope folks of all ages can use this new library to take and leave books for each other all year round. Thanks to @kpmgcommunityimpact for your support in keeping access to books strong at St. E’s and across Chicago! Together we’ll keep this book box stocked. #keepreading (fb)

ANIMALASSISTED LITERACY PROGRAMS SitStayRead is a nonprofit organization that uses an engaging evidencebased curriculum skilled staff trained volunteers and Certified Reading Assistance Dogs to advance the literacy skills of kindergarten through thirdgrade students in the city of Chicago. We serve Chicago schools and communitybased organizations where 90 of students live in lowincome households or are housing insecure and 60 of third graders score below the national reading average. Through our partner schools and with the support of generous institutional and individual funders SitStayRead motivates young Chicago students to become enthusiastic proficient readers at a critical period in their learning journey and inspires them to create success in their lives. Programs SitStayRead provides yearround programming for K3 students in the city of Chicago.
