We’re still in awe of the amazing creativity and talent at the the “Fashion in Motion” fashion show that took place last Saturday as a part of #YonkersArtsWeekend! This unforgettable runway event featured original designs by SUNY Westchester Community College fashion design students, ranging from bold first-semester designs to stunning final collections by graduating seniors. The HRM’s Hudson Room was packed as guests saw looks that drew inspiration from this year’s #MetGala “dandy” theme, streetwear, romanticism, global fashion trends, and so much more! Thank you to all the designers and models, as well as special guests including Mayor Mike Spano Yonkers Deputy Mayor Susan Gerry; Yonkers City Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy; Dr. Belinda Miles, President of Westchester Community College; Dr. Carmen Leonor Martínez-López, Dean of WCC’s School of Business and Professional Careers; and Carolina Fonseca, Yonkers Commissioner, Planning & Development Department.
