The mission of NDH Foundation is to raise and manage annual, capital, special and endowment funds for the present and future needs of Northern Dutchess Hospital and The Thompson House. The Foundation's mission is clearly interwoven with the Hospital's vision of the future, and achievement of this mission hinges on four pre-requisites:· Reciprocated participation of Foundation, Hospital and Thompson House Trustees at Board and associated committee meetings to ensure continued awareness of the strategic objectives of the overall organization and the continued visibility of the Foundation as the organization's fundraising entity.· Commitment on the part of all members of the governance body to articulate the philosophy and goals of Northern Dutchess Hospital and The Thompson House in a way, which can be understood by the community at large.· Community awareness of the Foundation's role as the primary fund raising vehicle for the Organization.· Commitment of the Foundation Trustees to support and maintain a strong and visible development program that involves the active leadership of Foundation Trustees in the identification and solicitation of individuals, organizations, businesses and foundations both within and beyond the immediate community.
