Our mission is to connect Maine and the world, by engaging and educating people of all ages to become global citizens. Join our mailing list: The World Affairs Council of Maine promotes global engagement across the state through discussion, dialogue, and citizen diplomacy. A non-partisan, non-profit, educational organization, the World Affairs Council of Maine has been connecting Maine with the world since 1977. Offering 50+ programs each year, the Council provides Mainers of all ages and in all parts of the state access to world-class insight and information on critical world events as well as opportunities for candid conversations complex global issues and cultural exchange. In cooperation with Global Ties, the Council coordinates professional development programs in Maine for the State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
