We were eventually registered with the State of Maine as a nonprofit organization in 1999 and is a 501c3 not for profit orgaization. The mission of the Edgecomb Historical Society is to preserve record and interpret the history of Edgecomb. To achieve this the society shall work with town government in the conserving cataloguing and preservation of town records to document and preserve buildings and artifacts significant to explaining our history and to encourage research in Edgecombs history and disseminate town history through educational programs and publications.
