🎗️ Today is Clinical Trials Day! 🎗️ For kids with cancer, clinical trials aren’t a last resort — they’re the standard of care and a lifeline for brighter futures. Since 2005, thanks to St. Baldrick’s donors: ✨ 290 clinical trials supported through the Children’s Oncology Group (COG). ✨ 257,000+ trial enrollments giving kids and teens access to new hope. Behind every number is a child’s story, a family’s hope, and the promise of better treatments and cures. 💛 Help us spread the word — like, share, and help shine a light on the lifesaving power of clinical trials. #ClinicalTrialsDay #StBaldricks #ConquerKidsCancer #ChildhoodCancerAwareness (fb)

Stephanie was first diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 11 in 2003. 💔 During a routine eye exam, her eye doctor noticed something unusual and immediately referred her to the emergency room. A CAT scan revealed the presence of a brain tumor, and she was quickly sent to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), where she underwent brain surgery to remove most of the tumor. At age 13, the tumor spread to her spine and throughout her brain. She was then placed on an experimental chemotherapy regimen that consisted of 3 drugs. This cocktail, which ultimately saved her life, was made possible because her oncologist was awarded a St. Baldrick’s research grant. Stephanie credits her survival and strength to her incredible team of doctors and caregivers, and shares “I am literally here today thanks to St. Baldrick’s.” ✨ The tumor left Stephanie legally blind, but that hasn’t stopped her from living a full and passionate life. She holds a full-time job and in her free time, she enjoys baking and cooking - two hobbies she’s adapted to fit her vision. Nothing stands in her way when it comes to doing what she loves. Stephanie can live life and make the most of every moment because of your generosity. Help more kids like her live out their dreams: https://ow.ly/8UCF50VOLb1 #BrainTumorAwarenessMonth (fb)
