Open to everyone, Portland JACL is a civil rights advocacy group who strives to educate the public about human and civil rights issues we all face. The mission of the Portland chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) is to celebrate our Japanese American culture and use lessons from our unique American experience to promote and protect human and civil rights for all.

A membershipdriven national organization whose mission is to promote and uphold human and civil rights and to promote and preserve the cultural heritage and values of Japanese Americans. Latest Day of Remembrance 2025 Japanese American Museum of Oregon and Portland JACL present a viewing Omoiyari a Song Film by Kishi Bashi followed by a short panel discussion. Saturday February 22 2025 at 2pm at Clinton Street Theatre.
