YWCA Rochester & Monroe County | Eliminating Racism, Empowering Women

YWCA is a powerful resource in our community. Our mission is to eliminate racism and empower women. See Schedule O Sojourner Fund for Women and Children, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization, which provides temporary housing and support services for women and children in Rochester, New York. The women and children historically stayed in a facility owned by the Organization. The facility was sold in 2021 and the services are now contracted through (and provided by) the YWCA. The residents were provided supportive services in educational, civic, and social areas for the development of women. The primary goals include improvement of the economic, mental, moral and independent status of women. The Organization obtains its support directly and indirectly from individuals, organizations, and government agencies in the community. In July 2023 the YWCA became the sole member of the organization.
