We work to reduce risk and improve services for all individuals with mental health concerns. Our consumer run organization will educate ourselves, other consumers and the population at large by helping them develop awareness and understanding about the means of achieving, maintaining and increasing personal mental health. Minds and K9s, Inc. will provide quality resources, to include presentations, programs and training on a variety of mental health topics, some including the health benefits provided by the animals in our lives. We educate people by helping them develop an awareness and understanding about the means of achieving, maintaining and increasing personal mental health by developing individual, business and community education and direct service programs showing how physical, emotional and environmental conditions have an impact on mental health, nurturing increased individual comprehension of the information provided, by using proven multi-sensory methods and techniques during presentation and seminars, fostering a positive atmosphere for learning to occur, by providing the information in an environment that is accessible to all groups, organizations and businesses within the community; financially viable for them, and eliminating the stigma often associated with disorders of the brain, whether that disorder is primarily a physical health concern due to an illness, injury, or developmental delay; or accompanied by emotions and feelings that have a direct impact on the individual, and other persons in their family and community.
