Celebrating More Than 30 Years as the Voice of the Presumpscot For more than a quarter of a century the Friends of the Presumpscot River has worked passionately to restore and protect the vitality of our small but mighty river.

One of the Presumpscot Rivers historic and keystone species, Blueback Herring, have been returned to the River. As an advocacy organization FOPR has sought the restoration of the rivers fishery. Today, 1133 sea-run Blueback herring have been reintroduced into the river.
