Elon Musk—an UNELECTED advisor to the president—has been handed sweeping power by the administration as the de facto head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). With little-to-no public oversight, Musk has already shut down USAID, cutting off global reproductive and maternal health programs, and now he's using his platform to push his radical views on abortion and other reproductive health care. 🚩 Musk fired over 10,000 Health and Human Services workers, including those working on reproductive health and HIV prevention, through the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). 🚩 Musk played a key role in dissolving USAID, effectively ending international aid for reproductive and maternal health. 🚩 Musk posts frequent disinformation and promotes his radical anti-science, anti-reproductive rights views on his highly visible social channels. 🚩 DOGE and the Trump administration cut an estimated $66 million in funding for the Title X program, which provides critical health care like birth control and cancer screenings for low-income people. 🚩 Musk spent over $20 million in support of losing Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel, who claims that an 1849 state law blocking abortion care is still valid. This is a dangerous abuse of power. Musk has no mandate from the people—yet he’s affecting policy at the highest levels. Musk’s influence is extreme, unaccountable, and anti-science.
