Opacum Land Trust is a regional, mostly volunteer organization formed in 2000 to protect natural and cultural resources in South Central Massachusetts. Opacum Land Trust is a regional organization dedicated to the conservation of the natural and cultural resources of South-Central Massachusetts. These non-renewable resources are being lost at an alarming rate, and include historic & prehistoric sites, fertile farmland, lush, geen forests, river corridors, wetlands, watersheds, vernal pools, scenic vistas, and habitat for endangered species. The goal is to preserve the character of our communites, promote proactive conservation, and create viable wildlife corridors (greenways) to benefit all species.
