Since 1884, through resident/staff partnership, our mission has been “To Help Men Help Themselves.” To help men experiencing homelessness enhance their capacity for self-help, self-respect and dignity. The Open Hearth, opened in 1884, is the oldest continuously operating facility of its kind on the east coast.
