Davis Schools Orchestral Music Association

The Davis Schools Orchestral Music Association (DSOMA) is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting musical education in the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD). DSOMA is a 501(c)(3) corporation, with its mission centered on increasing access to and support for musical education across the district.

• Support and Advocacy: DSOMA supports and advocates for every child interested in participating in DJUSD school music programs.
• Music Education Opportunities: The organization provides music education opportunities across DJUSD through activities such as annual concerts, elementary outreach, music workshops, scholarships, grants, and in-kind support.
• Program Support: DSOMA provides support for field trips, performances, teacher supplies, and the purchase, maintenance, and repair of instruments for all music programs, including general music, orchestra, strings, band, and choir.
• Funding Advocacy: DSOMA advocates for programs and funding to strengthen music education throughout DJUSD.
