Transportation Energy Partnership

Greater New Haven Clean Cities works to clean our air and water, reduce respiratory disease, and protect Connecticut’s shoreline through the adoption of cleaner transportation fuels, infrastructure, and vehicles. In 2022, our work focused on school bus electrification, first responder training on electric vehicle (EV) fires, celebrating fleet leaders, outreach to trucking fleets, and development of an EV carshare and e-bike program. We are designated by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office to serve New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties. We work statewide in collaboration with our two sister Clean Cities coalitions, are part of a network of more than 75 Clean Cities Coalitions across the country and are supported by the US DOE and its national labs.
