This week, the Urban Forestry Educators at Penn State Extension partnered with TreePennsylvania and the DCNR Bureau of Forestry to deliver 1,600 large bare root trees to over 50 different communities across PA. The delivery of these trees helps the communities save money while increasing their tree canopy cover, which reduces stormwater, improves air quality, reduces summer temperatures, conserves energy, and improves human health and quality of life.
