Since its release in April Sinners has acheived massive commercial and critical success, smashing box office records and receiving rave reviews from both critics and crowds. On top of it all, the films rich culturual and historical grounding has sparked widespread conversations about Black history and art, cultural transmission and exploitation, and the ongoing question of who is and isn't free these days.
