The Shaalim Network creates and sustains social welfare and educational programs to benefit Israel’s neediest populations. From a Free Dispensary for Infant formula and necessities, to ‘Warm Homes’ for At-Risk children and youngsters, and programs for disadvantaged Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrants. Other programs are geared for empowering and enriching weak school children, vouchers to ‘purchase’ warm clothes, summer camps for indigent children, and programs specifically benefiting the Ethiopian communities. An annual Open Passover Seder in over 30 locations hosts 3,000 guests, and there’s a unique program for elderly Russian and Holocaust survivors.
