As part of our poetry program featuring visiting authors, we were delighted to welcome Hilary Plum @hmplum to our HiSET poetry class this week. She led students and staff in a writing workshop, read from her book of poems, Excisions (@blacklawrencepress, 2023), and signed copies of the book. Her recent works include the novel State Champ (2025) and the essay collection Hole Studies (2022). She teaches at Cleveland State University and serves as associate director of the CSU Poetry Center.
