Don was born April 28 1925 in Evansville IN to William and Froy Ray Cobb. He graduated from Calhoun High School in 1942 and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Evansville. He retired in 1983 from Whirlpool Corporation after working as a Mechanical Engineer for 33 years.
