Celebrating a milestone at Alliance College-Ready Middle Academy 12, which unveiled a new mural, a labor of love created with and for our community! Scholars and teachers co-designed the mural, working alongside the amazing Mastermind Murals team, to tell the story of our school and the heart of Los Angeles. Special thanks to Mastermind Murals—brothers Myron and Rafael Reyes—for leading this project and inspiring us all. Meet Erick Chavarin, a proud alum of Alliance Susan & Eric Smidt Technology High School, Class of 2016! Erick found his voice through civic engagement in high school and carried that passion to Capitol Hill. After earning his degree from UC Riverside, Erick interned in Washington, D.C., and today, he’s working as a caseworker for U.S. Representative Jimmy Gomez, serving the same community he grew up in. Erick helps people in CA’s 34th District navigate government services and get support when they need it most.
