Public Media Institute Public Media Institute PMI is an independent media cultural nonprofit in Chicago. We build and take care of shared infrastructure like free magazines community radio stations artist shops regional coalitions cultural centers and festivals. PMI is part of the Buddy System a network of nonprofit and for profit platforms helping each other out in Chicagos Bridgeport neighborhood and beyond. PROGRAMS Buddy Store A retail shop at the Chicago Cultural Center featuring artwork products performances and conversations by Chicagobased artists makers and small businesses.
