Hilltown Community Development Corporation

Hilltown CDC

Fresh food from the people you know and the places you love! Hilltown CDC was founded by community residents within 10 rural Towns (populations 556-2800 persons per Town) of W. Massachusetts due to a recognized lack of local and municipal capacity to advocate for a fair share of resources for the region and to facilitate cooperative regional programming. Founders wished to improve the overall quality of life for area residents, many of whom have very low incomes, are unemployed or underemployed. These persons suffer from the isolation of the region, the lack of public transportation, lack of local jobs, and an overall absence of basic services and facilities that are commonplace in more populated areas.
