This Saturday, May 31 at 3pm at the Robert Jenkins House (113 Warren St.) the Hendrick Hudson Chapter of the DAR presents Women in Whaling in Hudson. Information from the research done by the DAR and the library for our 3-site exhibit, Hudson: A History of Whaling & Maritime Commerce, will be presented. Germantown Historian Thomas Shannon will speak on the Palatine Migration this Thursday, May 29, 6pm at the library. This Leisler Lecture covers the Palatines in our area, their migration and coexistence with the Livingstons and the evidence of their culture in our area. (fb)
