A Voice for the Arts Arts for LA leads communities artists and organizations to advocate for an equitable healthy and vibrant Los Angeles region through the arts. A community of passionate arts advocates 75000 Supporters 600 ACTIVATE Alumni 185 Organizations We are the regions only unified voice for the arts and we build and contribute to coalitions working to protect and promote creative career pathways equitable arts education arts funding and affordable spaces for artists and arts organizations. arts For la 100 Million Arts for LA helped secure over 100 million dollars in relief and recovery funding for regional practitioners and arts and culture organizations cosponsored and helped pass the California Creative Workforce Act of 2021 to create living wage jobs for underrepresented workers and advocated for passage of the Los Angeles County Public Art in Private Development Ordinance an innovative expansion of existing arts and culture funding that will work towards greater equity across the region. Our Programs Civic engagement and arts education advocacy trainings convenings for the arts and cultural sector direct education efforts with policymakers and inperson and online networking activities.
