Welcome to our Second of Three Chefs for our Second Annual Chef's Challenge Event: Chef Orlando Hemmings began his career at the Pearl Restaurant in Wellfleet, where he honed his culinary skills and learned the ins and outs of the restaurant industry. After that formative experience, he moved on to work at the Local Break in Eastham for almost a decade, beginning as a sous chef and working his way up to the position of head chef. Chef Hemmings’ passion for cooking, combined with his dream of owning a restaurant, led him to establish the Chatham Moods Restaurant in Chatham in 2023. As the owner and head chef, he expresses his creativity and passion for cooking through an innovative Jamaican-inspired menu with healthy options and attention to detail. Hemmings created a unique experience at Chatham Moods, offering delicious cuisine that captures the essence of the lively “Chatham Mood” he fell in love with as a child on Cape Cod. (fb)
