Athletic Mission Statement The purpose of theSeattle Mountaineers Independent Club basketball program is to provide an inclusive Christian basedexperience for ourathletes to teach them the benefits of competition and understand its redemptive value. The Mountaineers holdmemberships in the AIA Athletes in Action programtheAAU Amatuer Athletic Union and the ABA American Basketball Association. TheMountaineer Christian athlete is taught to win and make no apology for it. While this is the Athletes intentour Christian athletes must have a higher purpose in competing glorifying Christ by having discipline character sportsmanship and the ability to work well with others.
