Jason Cantanese (Phoenix ’11) taught Nathan Martinez Rubio (Phoenix ’22) when he was a student. Now, Nathan is teaching in the very same community. Olivia Allpress (Phoenix ’13) had a similar experience. Her former student, Jessica Verdugo Lopez (Phoenix ’22), was inspired to join Teach For America and is still in the classroom today. These stories aren’t just heartwarming. They’re a reminder of what’s possible when dedicated educators show up for their students. Our alumni continue to shape lives long after their two years in the corps, creating a ripple effect that spans classrooms and generations. We’re so proud of this network. 💙 (fb)

Twelve years ago, a Teach For America alum had a bold idea: What if students had the chance to see the world beyond their neighborhoods? That idea became Show Me the World Project, founded by Samantha Lurie Carroll (St. Louis ’08) and today, it’s changing lives. This weekend, 30 incredible students from St. Louis took off for Costa Rica! 🌍✈️ They worked hard for this trip, raising their own funds and learning along the way. Because when students are given the tools to lead, they rise to the challenge. None of this happens without great educators who believe in their students’ potential. We’re so proud to see our alumni shaping the future in big ways. Follow @ShowMeTheWorldProject and support their journey! Image credit: @ShowMeTheWorldProject (fb)
