Emily and Glenn from our Marketing and Fundraising team joined other local organizations last week at United Way of Pioneer Valley's Volunteer Fair for Hampden County. The timing couldn’t have been better, as April is Volunteer Appreciation Month! We’re so grateful for the volunteers who already support our mission and can’t wait to welcome even more into the fold. Stay tuned this month for some exciting news! Also thank you to Hope for Youth and Families for hosting us in their newly renovated space, and to Nosh Springfield and White Lion Brewing Company for providing some delicious grub. #VolunteerAppreciationMonth #VolunteerOpportunities #CommunityInvolvement (fb)

Help us spread the word to local landlords! We are hosting a SNO Mass Landlord Session this Friday (4/4) at the Springfield Housing Center (1780 Main Street) from 10 to 11:30 am. Learn about the program and why to take part. Longmeadow landlord Frank Skrzypek appreciates that the program brings long-term tenants, among other reasons: “I would encourage landlords, a hundred percent, to try and connect with the SNO Mass program if it makes sense for them. And if they are looking for tenants who respect their property, have good rental history, and are really pleasant. And who will be there for quite a few years. It’s almost like a pay it forward type of thing, a win-win for tenants and landlords. Kids wouldn’t have had the same opportunities if they’d stayed at their previous school systems.” To register, contact Housing Mobility Specialist Wandalis Rodriguez at wrodriguez@wayfinders.org or 413-523-3239.
