We are a non-profit, HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency and an NYS Neighborhood Preservation Company with over 40 years of commitment to providing affordable homeownership, tenant services, foreclosure prevention, and pre-purchase home buying counseling. Our agency is a place where we embrace diversity and inclusion, and our purpose is to uphold individual dignity. We promote recognition and respect for individual and cultural differences and work to make our employees and clients feel valued and appreciated. All our services are free.

GSBDC Our mission is to preserve and enhance housing stability for the tenants coop owners and homeowners of the Greater Sheepshead Bay. About Us Since 1978 the Greater Sheepshead Bay Development Corporation a New Yorkbased 501 c3 nonprofit which achieved IRS status in 1981 has been providing housingcounseling and navigator services to ensure our residents experience rental coop and homeownership stability. We reduce rent burden disparities and homeownership burden inequality. Our Services Housing Exemptions Process applications for tenants coop owners and homeowners Mortgage Delinquency Default Resolution Counseling Process loan modification requests Financial Management Budget Counseling Complete financial evaluation of income and expenses standard with all counseling services.
