Modern Family Alliance
Supporting the needs of LGBTQ+ parents through community development, education and resources. Modern Family Alliance supports LGBTQ families in the greater Kansas City area and surrounding communities. MFA's mission is to connect LGBTQ individuals who plan to have children or who already are raising children in a community that is respectful, encouraging, diverse and inclusive. MFA offers resource/referral information, provides educational programs and training, and organizes social activities and events which invite families to meet one another, network, find mutual support and share experiences that are mutually beneficial. MFA's education programs are directed to the community and professionals who support LGBTQ families. MFA is a member of the Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce and works with and supports other LGBTQ organizations.
