From the Aleppo Archives: a RGW medal We were glad to recently receive another Robert Gardiner Wilson Jr. medal to add to our collection. This is the highest award given by Aleppo and is only awarded to two Nobles a year by unanimous decision of the Divan as well as to the outgoing Potentate. The 102nd recipient was Paul J. Agostino: "Noble Paul J. Agostino became an Aleppo Shriner on November 08, 2003. He joined the Aleppo Rag Tops in 2003. He is retired and has been volunteering at Aleppo ever since. The positive thing for Aleppo is that whatever he aspires to do, he brings his Unit with him. You are most likely to find him in the garage next to the Ticket Office collecting, cleaning and recycling pull-tabs and cans. He also served as the Transportation Fund Chairman, has been very successful on the Circus committee, as well as a dedicated volunteer for the local Veterans Association in Wilmington. If all of that is not enough, on weekends you will find him at a local supermarket with a red can collecting for the Shrine Hospitals and the Aleppo Shriners Children’s Transportation Fund. For his dedication to the Shrine and his twelve years of service to Aleppo, it is most appropriate to present to Noble Paul J. Agostino, the highest award in Aleppo Temple, the Robert Gardiner Wilson, Jr. Medal, for service above and beyond the call of duty." Noble Agostino's Wilson medal will be added to our display of other recipients who's medals have been returned to us. (fb)
