News

Recently Westmoreland has been monitoring the use of a culvert connecting the northern part of our property to Butler Sanctuary underneath highway-684. From February through March, our trail camera has captured an opossum, turkey, and mouse in the area. However, the most frequent visitors are the raccoons, pawing their way through the stream bed, and flipping rocks in search of late-night snacks, most likely invertebrates, such as crayfish and freshwater mussels. -Alice Roosevelt, Westmoreland Naturalist, B.S.
