The Ritz Theatre The Historic 1929 Ritz Theatre Plans are underway to restore Corpus Christis historical landmark The Ritz Theatre. Built in 1929 the Ritz was the first talking movie theater in the area and was considered one of the finest theatres in Texas. In the 1970s it was best known as The Ritz Music Hall home to many artists from Willie Nelson Bob Dylan and Stevie Ray Vaughan to Metallica and Def Leppard. ITS HAPPENING.

The Downtown community showed up in a big way for the Ritz Theatre during our Mahjong Tournament — with incredible raffle donations, generous sponsorships, and unforgettable energy. Huge thanks to The Bay Jewel and our amazing Ritz Theatre Event Team for making the night a success. This is what community looks like.
