To provide shelter, sustainance and medical/rehabilitative care for any abused or displaced captive exotic bird in need that does not harbor an infectious disease dangerous to other birds in our care. To find carefully-screened, permanent adoptive homes for each captive exotic bird coming into our care that is suitable for adoption. To provide sanctuary, sustainance and lifetime care at PARS or with another accredited sanctuary for each captive exotic bird who is for one reason or the other unsuitable for adoption.  To utilize public education forums to turn uninformed impulse-buy opportunities into well informed adoption opportunities in hopes of one day making rescue and sanctuary unnecessary.  To intervene, in a non-violent manner, in situations involving the abuse, neglect or medically unnecessary euthanasia of a captive exotic bird whenever possible.  To be available as a resource for local government and other animal welfare organizations not having the facilities, skills or resources necessary to meet the special needs of caring for a captive exotic bird.  To provide support and assistance to animal welfare organizations conducting rescue operations subsequent to a natural disaster or other emergency situation.  To provide support and assistance to avian conservation organizations around the world who are actively working in the field for parrot species preservation.
