It is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI. It is a communitybased and supported organization. It was designed to promote a safer community through community service projects with particular emphasis on providing safety initiatives and resources to the public educating local communities about federal law enforcement issues and challenges and supporting FBIsponsored information programs.
