The Associates of the BPL is an independent, nonprofit dedicated to conservation and digitization of the @BPLBoston’s Special Collections. Associates of the Boston Public Library is an independent, nonprofit dedicated to conserving the Boston Public Library’s Special Collections of rare books, manuscripts, prints, photographs, and items of literary, historic and cultural significance. The Associates of the Boston Public Library is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the library's Special Collections of rare books, manuscripts, prints and drawings, musical scores, and other items of literary, historic and cultural interest. Our mission is to ensure continued public access to these irreplaceable treasures by underwriting their conservation, cataloging, digitization, and exhibition, thereby sustaining the library in its most fundamental mission: to provide free educational resources to all citizens of the Commonwealth, while preserving knowledge, culture, and history for the benefit of society at large.
